Commerce and Reads was started by Mercedes Cardona, a veteran  writer and editor at organizations including USA Today, The Associated Press and Advertising Age. 

We offer editorial consulting, writing, editing and project management services by professional journalists to organizations worldwide.

Taking over the launch of a website sponsored by the publishing tech company, Commerce and Reads created a new editorial presence that grew page views tenfold during its first year. We expanded the site's social media reach, launched a YouTube channel and produced a video interview series shot at sites around the world.

The Economist Group

Marketing Unbound

Relaunching a website for the parent organization of The Economist, we tripled page views in the first six months. We expanded the site’s use of video, graphics and social media while building a network of 200+ industry expert contributors and led a subsequent rebranding and redesign, without losing any traffic.

Altus Group

Real Confidence 

Commercial real estate company Altus Group worked with Commerce and Reads to establish an editorial direction to promote its inaugural Real Confidence Survey. We created content to launch a global website, and handled layout, photo and video editing to create a finished editorial product. 

Girl Scouts of the USA

Spanish-Language Guidebooks

In an effort to attract more Hispanic scouts and troop leaders, Commerce and Reads retooled existing materials to create new guides in Spanish. We translated existing GSUSA Brownie and Junior guides to compile content from dozens of books into two activity guides fit for both scouts and adult leaders.

Adobe

Mobile Marketing Survey  

Adobe partnered with Commerce and Reads to create a striking presentation to get the word out about the results of its annual survey benchmarking best practices among mobile marketers. We created a text that summed up the study's findings, and broke out top-level results with callouts and data visualization. 

Demand Gen Report

White Paper: Adapt or Die 

DGR and its partner, MarketBridge, wanted to highlight the importance of enabling sales staff with marketing automation tools. We produced an informative paper with up-to-date technical information and case studies to drive home the newest knowledge and tools available.
